The Maryland woman who abused at least three children in her care while operating an unlicensed daycare center out of her home will have decades behind bars to think about her actions, authorities announced. Mardela Springs resident Nicole Bochenek, 46, was sentenced to 55 years in prison this week after pleading guilty in March to multiple counts of child abuse and first-degree assault. Members of a Maryland family have been sentenced for their roles in a harrowing incident that saw a Montgomery County woman setting her 8-year-old son on fire for making a mess in their kitchen, authorities announced. Two people are dead in Maryland as state police investigate a pair of fatal crashes that were reported in Prince George’s County approximately six hours apart.
