Community Support Swells For HS Senior Killed Before Heading To Towson University
Support is on the rise for a Maryland high school senior and upcoming Towson University student shot and killed last week. Olamide Olakanye, 18, of Upper Marlboro died at a nearby hospital after being shot on the 1200 block of Dunbar Oaks Drove around 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, Daily Voice reported. He was found wounded from the gunfire following a crash on the 5300 block of Sheriff Road, where police determined that he had driven himself from away from the scene just moments earlier. Student Caught Sneaking Loaded Gun Into Maryland HS Days After Multiple Fights Reported: Police
A day after nearly a dozen of fights broke out at Charles Herbert Flowers High School in Prince George's County, police say they busted a student with a gun on Thursday. Ke'Shawn Reeves, 18, of Lanham, is facing charges after attempting to sneak a loaded gun onto school property before being swiftly apprehended by security inside the building in Springdale. At around 8:20 a.m. on Thursday, the Prince George's County Police Department was notified that security personnel recovered the gun from Reeves, who was taken into custody.
