A man with a history of violence in Southern Maryland is heading to prison for a shooting incident in St. Mary's County, the state's attorney's office announced. Marbury resident James Stephen Gass, Jr., 32, was sentenced to 25 years in prison with 13 years to serve for shooting into an occupied home in June 2022.
