For the second time this week, a winning ticket worth a seven-figure jackpot that was sold in Cumberland was cashed in, this time at Parkview Liquors on a "$2,000,000 Gold Rush" scratcher, just days after a player claimed a million dollar prize

The retired state employee says she follows a strict routine when she plays her tickets by only scratching off the numbers without displaying the prizes. She then compares those numbers to the winning numbers to determine if Lady Luck was shining down on a very specific day.

This time around, while she was reviewing the numbers, she found an auto-win symbol, so she knew she won at least $500.

There were a few more zeroes to be had.

The Allegany County woman said that she continued to scratch the ticket, only to reveal that the auto-win landed her family a $2 million cash windfall.

Knowing his wife was playing her favorite game, the woman's husband said he knew something good had happened when he was beckoned into the room, only to be toyed with before getting the news.

"I ran upstairs and asked her if she won a million dollars," he said, to which she responded with a grin, "no, I won two million dollars."

The Lucky Lottery player credited a higher power for the win, saying that she decided to purchase the winning $30 ticket based on her astrology sign.

“The moon was on my sign on the 18th," she mused. "It was my lucky day.”

With her winnings, the winner said that she plans to give $100,000 to a charity, with the rest going toward home improvements.
