A man prohibited from owning firearms was busted with a gun, drugs, and paraphernalia during a police response at a Red Roof Inn location in Annapolis, authorities announced. Officers with the Anne Arundel County Police Department's Southern District responded to a disturbance at the hotel on Riva Road around 6:25 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23. Police said the suspect was found in possession of a 9mm Glock 26 handgun loaded with nine rounds of ammunition. Justice has been served for some communities in Maryland after suspects implicated in a string of hate crimes at area churches were arrested. Three people are in custody in Anne Arundel County after terrorizing places of worship throughout Odenton and Annapolis over the past several weeks, authorities announced on Thursday, June 29. Annapolis Woman Killed By Teen Driver After Super Bowl ID'd: Police
A 54-year-old Annapolis woman is dead after being reportedly struck by a teenage driver, authorities say. Mary Johannes Summers was reportedly walking across Riva Road at Broad Creek Drive when she was struck by a 17-year-old driving a Ford Focus around 11 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 12, according to an Anne Arundel County Police spokesperson. Summers was wearing dark and non-reflective clothing at the time of the collision, investigators noted.
