A 19-year-old high school student who had plans to commit a school shooting in Montgomery County was convicted of making threats of mass violence, authorities announced on Wednesday. Rockville resident Alex (Andrea) Ye was arrested last year following an investigation after the FBI notified Montgomery County Public Schools about a 129-page "manifesto" authored by the teen.
