Ted Lerner, the man who brought a World Series title to DC with the Washington Nationals and Montgomery County native has died at the age of 97. A real estate mogul who made his millions after founding one of the largest development companies in the region, Lerner purchased the Nationals from Major League Baseball for a reported $450 million after their transition from the Montreal Expos in 2006.
