Wanted fugitive Christopher Haynes is back in custody in Maryland after escaping from custody in DC last month, the Metropolitan Police Department announced on Thursday. On Oct. 26, the department announced that the 30-year-old Haynes was recaptured in Prince George's County after escaping police custody following his arrest for the August murder of Brent Hayward. Police in Maryland are warning area residents to be on the lookout after a resident escaped from custody. At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, the Howard County Police Department were notified that Randy Morris, an inmate, escaped from a transport van. The 38-year-old - who was in custody for burglary - got away in the area of Dorsey Run Road and Route 32. The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance as they attempt to track down a man who is wanted for escaping custody. A wanted drug distributor is at large after allegedly escaping from a Maryland facility, according to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office. An alert was issued for Lexington Park resident William Lamont Barnes, 39, who is wanted on a warrant for two counts of distributing controlled dangerous substances in Maryland, and recently escaped from the facility he was being held.
