A teacher in Maryland who allegedly left her classroom to sell drugs to people on school property is facing charges for distributing a fatal dose of fentanyl, according to federal authorities. Sarah Katherine Magid, 34, has been charged with distributing fentanyl that resulted in serious bodily injury and the death of a victim, according to a criminal complaint that was unsealed this week in District Court. Concerns are mounting for a Silver Spring teenager who disappeared earlier this week, authorities say. Zanaiya Neil, 13, was last seen Wednesday, Aug. 24, around 12 p.m. in the 4200 block of Cloudberry Court in Burtonsville, according to Montgomery County police. A man is dead after a fire was started by an electrical outlet in a Burtonsville home, authorities say. Firefighters responded to an alarm sounding in the 14600 block of Monmouth Drive off Greencastle road around 10:40 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 11, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue. Alert Issued By Police In Maryland Amid Investigation Into String Of Bank Robberies
Images of a suspect believed to be involved in at least three bank robberies in Montgomery County have been released in an effort to identify them, authorities say. Detectives believe the suspect was involved in separate robberies from Tuesday Jan. 18 through Saturday, March 12, according to Montgomery County police.
