A Reisterstown woman facing serious drug charges in Carroll County pleaded guilty in connection to a large-scale cocaine distribution operation, authorities said. Melissa Dawn Smith, 42, of Reisterstown, admitted to a single count of distributing cocaine during a hearing on Friday, Jan. 10, in Carroll County Circuit Court. The charges stem from a criminal investigation by the Carroll County Drug and Firearms Trafficking Task Force, which targeted a drug trafficking ring operating out of both Baltimore and Carroll counties. Lexus-Driving Shooter Charged With Murder Of 34-Year-Old In Baltimore, Police Say
More than a week after a fatal shooting in Baltimore, police have apprehended and charged a suspect who was spotted in a fancy ride, authorities announced. Aquil Tamir King, 25, is facing murder and other charges in connection to the fatal shooting of 34-year-old Jarmal Harrid earlier this month. Officers from the Baltimore Police Department were called shortly after 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 2 to the 500 block of West Mulberry Street, where they found Harrid suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
