Verizon Worker Dies After Being Shocked By Power Lines In Maryland A contractor working in a Verizon bucket truck in Montgomery County on Tuesday afternoon has died, officials say. Shortly before noon on July 9, first responders were called to the 200 block of Ashton Road, when the worker made contact with power lines in a difficult spot to access in Ashton. One Killed, Several Injured In Multi-Vehicle Maryland Crash, Police Say (Developing) One person was killed and a second had to be extricated out of their vehicle following a crash in Prince George's County, according to police. Shortly before 2:40 p.m. on Friday, June 21, officers were called to the area of Old Gunpowder Road and Sinope Way in Beltsville, where there was a reported crash that left one person dead and a second trapped.
