A Maryland man who stashed kilos of cocaine in the woods will spend more than a decade in prison, the St. Mary's County State's Attorney's Office announced on Monday night. Laray Anthony Maddox, 42, was sentenced to 30 years with all but 11 years and six months to serve following the recovery of at least four pounds of cocaine in 2022 that were found in a secluded wooded area not far from his California home. The man who took an unexpected joyride with an unwitting car dealership employee in Southern Maryland has been convicted, according to the St. Mary's County State's Attorney's Office.
