Bus Stop Destroyed After Car Caroms Into It Following Multi-Vehicle Maryland Crash Several lanes were temporarily blocked in Montgomery County on Wednesday morning after a multi-vehicle crash sent one through a bus stop in Hillandale.  Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel were called to the area of New Hampshire Avenue and Chalmers Road at around 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 9, where there was a crash involving two vehicles, officials said. It is unclear what caused the crash, which left both vehicles with extensive damage - one in the middle of the road and one on the sidewalk - and completely destroyed the bus stop in the area that was sent onto a nearby fence. At around 5 a.m. on Sept. 29, crews were called to the 300 block of North Charles Street, where there was a reported fire inside a manhole with flames showing near the intersection of Pleasant Street.
