At around 3:30 a.m. on Oct. 7, officers were called to the 1100 block of Bryans Point Road to investigate a reported crash that led to the death of Capitol Heights resident Cadence Cox. Police say that the driver - who suffered non-life-threatening injuries - was heading west on Bryans Point Road when they lost control and smashed into a tree.
