Prince George's County Schools Locked Down Due To Investigation: Police (Developing) Two schools in Prince George's County were temporarily locked down amid an ongoing investigation, police say. At approximately 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, Crossland High School and Thurgood Marshall Middle School in Temple Hills were placed in a precautionary lockdown. According to the Prince George's County Police Department, the lockdown was "out of an abundance of caution due to an investigation nearby unrelated to the school."  No details about the investigation were provided. Maryland High School Placed In Lockdown Amid Armed Robbery Investigation (Developing) Laurel High School was temporarily locked down on Tuesday afternoon as police investigated a reported armed robbery near the building. An alert was issued by the Laurel Police Department early in the afternoon on June 11 advising that the school was placed in a lockdown and some roads in the area were closed.
