Non-Verbal Autistic Child Rescued From Lake By Police, Lifeguard In Maryland A young, non-verbal autistic child was rescued from a large lake at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park in Montgomery County. According to officials, on Wednesday afternoon, police and a lifeguard from a nearby pool had to dive headfirst into a lake at the park following reports of the child entering the waters.
