A 3-year-old boy was found shot inside a Maryland home in what is believed to be an accidental shooting involving an unsecured handgun on Monday, police say. An investigation has been launched by the Howard County Police Department following the fatal shooting, which was reported inside a home on Harpers Ferry Road in Columbia on July 1. A 3-year-old girl is recovering at an area hospital and a teen is facing a weapons charge after the child accidentally shot herself inside a Montgomery Village apartment, police say. Shortly after noon on Tuesday, June 4, officers were called to the 18700 block of Walkers Choice Road, where there was a report of an injured child.
