Frederick Douglass Moorefield, Jr., 63, pleaded guilty to federal charges that include conspiracy to engage in animal fighting, specifically the fighting of dogs, and interstate travel in aid of racketeering. The Anne Arundel County Police Department is cautioning residents to be cautious after a Severn man was electrocuted by downed power lines and later died at an area hospital. Late on Sunday afternoon, first responders were called to a home in the 1400 block of Maryland Avenue, when a man suffered serious injuries after being shocked by the wire, investigators say. Two people were hospitalized in Montgomery County following an apparent electrocution incident in North Potomac, officials say. At approximately 1:30 p.m. on June 17, paramedics were called to a construction scene in the area of Darnestown Road and Great Seneca Highway, where there were reports of a possible electrocution involving workers at a job site.
