Maryland State Police Trooper Involved In Fatal Crash Under Investigation (Developing) A 32-year-old woman who unexpectedly crossed into a road and was fatally struck by a Maryland State Police trooper in Anne Arundel County overnight, officials say. Officials were called shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29, to the northbound lanes of Solomons Island Road at Route 50, after an SUV hit a woman in the roadway, where investigators noted there is no crosswalk.
