The fire broke out around 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, at a two-story home on Candice Drive in Port Deposit, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office.  The blaze started on the rear porch due to an electrical failure. Fire At Popular Maryland Pub Won't Keep Doors Closed For Long A small fire at a popular Cecil County pub won’t keep the doors closed for long.  Sweeney’s Pub on Conowingo Road in Conowingo, suffered minor damage after a blaze broke out in an exterior trash can Friday morning, temporarily pausing operations at the beloved restaurant and bar, according to investigators. The fire, which began around 8 a.m. on Dec. 20, was quickly controlled by the Water Witch Volunteer Fire Company.  Thirty firefighters responded to the single-alarm blaze and had it under control within 20 minutes, though it caused an estimated $5,000 in damage for the owners.…
