The recall was issued for Apollo America's 51000-600 combination smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, June 5, 2025. The recall affects white detectors with "replace by" dates ranging from June to October 2034 printed on the front. The back of the device displays the "Apollo" brand and model number 51000-600. Residents Rescued From Roof Of Maryland House Fire Some residents had to be rescued in Washington County on Saturday morning when a house fire broke out in Hagerstown, officials say. Crews were called shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 19 to the 200 block of Prospect Avenue where there was a smoke detector that activated inside an area row home. Upon arrival, firefighters rescued occupants from the roof of the residence and were able to knock down the flames and contain them to two of the nine units within the row, though others sustained smoke and water damage.
