One person was hospitalized after an officer involved shooting on Thursday afternoon in Charles County, officials say. Shortly after 1 p.m. on Sept. 12, officers were called to the 14000 block of Bassford Road in Hughesville for an investigation. According to the Charles County Sheriff's Office, an armed suspect was shot during the incident and rushed to an area hospital with what were described as "injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening." A woman no stranger to law enforcement is back in custody after being tracked down in Southern Maryland. An alert was issued by the Charles County Sheriff's Office late last month as they sought the public's assistance in tracking down a fugitive from Hughesville wanted on a host of charges.
