A power bank charger exploded while in a New Jersey student's pocket, sending them to the hospital on Friday, Jan. 9, authorities said. At 1:05 p.m., law enforcement responded after the charger exploded at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, authorities said. Some residents in Montgomery County were evacuated on Thursday morning when a troublesome gas leak was reported outside an area home. An alert was issued at approximately 11 a.m. on June 6 when HazMat units were called to the 5600 block of Spruce Tree Avenue in Bethesda when a two-inch gas line was struck in front of a residence, officials said.
