Melrose Place, Cagney & Lacey Actor Floyd Levine Dies, Dad Of Entertainment Exec Brian Robbins
Floyd Levine, a veteran character actor whose face was familiar across decades of film and television and the father of entertainment executive Brian Robbins, has died. He was 93.
A former cab driver who pivoted to acting in the 1970s, Levine piled up scores of credits on the big and small screens.
On television, he was best known as Desk Sgt. Lubin in CBS’s Cagney & Lacey, Dr. Howard Stein in Fox’s Melrose Place, and Ned the Doorman in Nickelodeon’s Cousin Skeeter, which was co-created by his son.

Actor Devin Harjes, who appeared in several popular TV shows, has died. He was 41.
His death, in New York City, was announced on his website.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, he died on Tuesday, May 27 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan from an illness after being diagnosed with cancer in February.
He was best known for his role as boxer Jack Dempsey on HBO's Boardwalk Empire. He also appeared on Netflix's Daredevil, Orange is the New Black, and Manifest, Fox's Gotham, as well as CBS's FBI and Blue Bloods, and Elementary.

For the first time, sports fans can get ESPN's full TV network lineup without cable through a new standalone streaming service.
ESPN announced the pricing and details of its new direct-to-consumer platform on Tuesday, May 13. The app, simply called ESPN, will feature more than 47,000 sporting events each year, along with SportsCenter and the network's vast content library.
