Teens Fleeing In Stolen Car Lead To Five-Vehicle Crash In St. Mary's County, Sheriff Says A group of young suspects joyriding in a stolen vehicle sparked a multi-vehicle crash involving four other vehicles during a police pursuit in St. Mary's County, according to the sheriff's office. At approximately 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, a vehicle was stolen from a Great Mills residence, which was spotted shortly after 2:45 p.m. later that afternoon by sheriff's deputies, who attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the area of Three Notch Road and Mechanicsville Road in Mechanicsville.
