Community Helps Scrub Anti-Semitic Graffiti From Maryland Elementary School Sign A Maryland community came together to help clean up hateful graffiti that was found spray painted outside a Montgomery County elementary school. Anti-semitic imagery was found on a sign at the Bethesda Elementary School on Arlington Road, though crews and neighbors were quick to clear the paint on Sunday morning. Man Convicted Of Paralyzing Officer During Traffic Stop Shooting Denied Parole: Police The man who shot a Montgomery County Police officer more than two decades ago and left him paralyzed has been denied parole, according to officials. Terrence Green, who shot Officer Kyle Olinger during a traffic stop in Silver Spring in August 2003, will stay behind bars, authorities announced on Tuesday afternoon. Olinger was shot in the neck during the stop, which left him with a severed spinal cord, leaving him paralyzed from the chest down.  Despite his injuries, Olinger continued to be a prominent member of the community, police say, before he passed away in April 2019.
