An ex-con from Washington DC has been convicted of shooting a transgender victim following a sexual act, federal authorities announced. Jerry Tyree, who has previous weapon and drug convictions in Maryland and the District, was found guilty by a Superior Court jury of aggravated assault while armed for shooting his victim in November last year in Northeast DC. Court documents state that Tyree met his victim at the intersection of Eastern Avenue NE and Foote Street NE shortly before 2 p.m., on Nov. 29, 2023, where they negotiated a price for oral sex. Maryland Middle School Student Caught Packing Loaded Handgun In Lunchbox, Sheriff Says
A middle school student had a little too much iron with his school lunch on Wednesday afternoon in Charles County, leading to the recovery of a handgun, according to the sheriff's office. Administrators at the Benjamin Stoddert Middle School were alerted shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon about a student who was possibly in possession of a gun inside the building. Teen Charged As Adult For Shooting At Teen Leaving School Bus In Maryland: Police
A 16-year-old who chased down a teen exiting a school bus in Montgomery County and began shooting at him earlier this year will be charged as an adult on multiple charges, police say. Clarksburg resident Jaiden Ochieng has been identified and charged following a shooting that was reported in March in the 19300 block of Archdale Road in Germantown.
