Maryland State Police continue to investigate a crash that resulted in the death of a dump truck driver and motorcycle enthusiast on I-270 in Montgomery County. Rodney Lee Gibson, 54, of Frederick, has been identified by Maryland State Police investigators as the person killed in a two-vehicle crash when he was driving his dump truck along the interstate in Clarksburg on Monday, May 13. New I-695 Inner Loop Closure Point To Take Effect Monday: Maryland Transportation Authority
With the entire East Coast continuing to adjust to the collapse of the Key Bridge collapse in Maryland, the state's Transportation Authority announced new closures and alternatives for motorists on I-695. Beginning on Monday, April 15, there will be a new closure point in effect on the Inner Loop. Everything is a landing site during an emergency. A medivac pilot proved that on Wednesday, July 6, after they landed a helicopter on Interstate 395 to rescue a police officer.
