A well-armed employee who threatened to blow up the Maryland Vehicle Administration (MVA) building has been arrested and is facing multiple charges, according to the state fire marshal. Hagerstown resident Anthony Jacob Fritz, 38 - an employee of the MVA on Colonel Henry K. Douglas Drive - found himself in hot water with the police on Friday after allegedly making threats of mass violence. An 18-year-old high school student who reportedly had plans to commit a school shooting in Montgomery County has been arrested, according to police. Rockville resident Andrea Ye, whose preferred name is Alex Ye, was arrested on Wednesday, April 17 following an extensive investigation after the FBI notified Montgomery County Public Schools about a 129-page "manifesto" authored by the teen. A middle school student went through great lengths to make a threat targeting Urbana Middle School classmates in Frederick County on Monday afternoon, according to authorities. At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 27, members of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office were notified about threats of violence made at the school after a student made a PowerPoint presentation that specifically threatened violence toward 10 other students.
