A hunter who fell out of a tree stand in West Virginia required an assist from a Maryland State Police helicopter after suffering serious injuries. At approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7, the state police Aviation Command was called to a remote area in a Grant County mountain, where there was a reported injured hunter who was in a tricky location. Group Stranded On Island Rescued By Montgomery County Crews, State Police Helicopter
First responders in Maryland came to the rescue of a group of swimmers who found themselves in a perilous position on Sunday afternoon, officials say. Ten people were removed from the Potomac River by crews in Montgomery County and Fairfax County after they were stranded on an island and their kayak went rogue and floated downstream.
