The Frederick County Health Department is cautioning residents to avoid certain waterways after a sewage overflow on Mount St. Mary's University campus on the east side of Route 15. According to health officials, the public should avoid the waters from Saint Mary Run to Toms Creek to Monocacy River, and they've cautioned that swimming or full-body immersion in those areas should be avoided. A second alert was issued for the Monocacy River from Route 144 to Route 80 or Fingerboard Road rom Pinecliff Park to Buckeystown Park.
