Death Ruled Homicide Day After Body Found In Maryland Woods: Police The death of a 35-year-old man found in a patch of Maryland woods is being investigated as a homicide. Delondre Levert Sawyer, of Germantown, was found unresponsive in a wooded area near the 11200 block of Game Preserve Road in Gaithersburg on Thursday, February 8 and later pronounced dead, Montgomery County Police said. An autopsy conducted on Sawyer’s body located a gunshot wound and ruled his manner of death a homicide. Stephen Lavance Oates, Jr., 35, and Katrice Ceclia Wood, 29, were arrested and charged for robberies committed Monday, Jan. 8 and Wednesday, Jan. 10, Montgomery County Police said.
