A Baltimore City Public Schools Police officer is in hot trouble with the law after allegedly abusing and assaulting a family member, according to multiple reports. Gerard Owens, 48, has reportedly been charged with second-degree child abuse and second-degree assault following an incident that was reported over the weekend in the 3200 block of Northway Drive. Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby is reportedly wanting to move her federal perjury trial out of Maryland after a scheduling order was issued following a motion to transfer venues, reports Fox Baltimore. Judge Lydia Grigsby has ordered Mosby's team to file documentation arguing the reasoning for changing the venue by Friday, Oct. 21, and has given prosecutors until Friday, Nov. 4 to respond. Sniper Who Terrorized Washington D.C. In Attempt To Regain Child Custody Denied Parole
The state of Virginia has denied parole to a convicted killer who terrorized Washington, D.C. with random sniper shootings nearly 20 years ago, reports Fox Baltimore. Lee Boyd Malvo, 37, was denied parole, with the Virginia Parole Board ruling that the killer is still a risk to the community after the October 2002 attacks.
