One Firefighter Killed, Four Others Injured Battling Intense Baltimore Rowhome Fire
Maryland is in mourning after one firefighter died and sever others were injured battling a massive rowhouse blaze. Several homes went up in flames on Thursday afternoon in Baltimore, and the furious fire claimed the life of one and left at least four other with various burns and other injuries, according to city officials. The firefighter's name has not been released, pending the notification of his family. Funeral Arrangements Announced For Fallen Baltimore City Firefighter Juan Wilson
The Baltimore Firefighters IAFF Local 734 announced funeral arrangements for a paramedic and firefighter who suffered a medical emergency while on the job and died late last month. Visitation for Juan Wilson will be held between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 14, and Tuesday, Nov. 15 at the Wylie Funeral Home on Liberty Road in Randallstown. D.C. Fire Department Announces Death of Firefighter With 19 Years Of Service
The D.C. fire department announced this week that a 19-year veteran of the department has died. Firefighter Dejuan Woodland passed away from a medical issue on Wednesday, June 29, a department spokesperson said. Woodland joined D.C. Fire and EMS in 2003 and was stationed on Truck 2 during his entire tenure, a tweet announcing his death said.
