Maryland Man Guilty In Fatal Shooting Of Connecticut Husband, Father Of Three
A 49-year-old Maryland man was found guilty of gunning down a Connecticut father of three in 2020, authorities said.
Rashad Hardy was found guilty on Aug. 28 of murder, carrying a pistol with a permit, and criminal possession of a firearm, the Connecticut State Attorney's Office said.
Hardy was convicted of killing Ricky Newton, age 36, of New Haven, on Rosette Street in July 2020, police said.
Police found evidence of the slaying while executing a search on an unrelated matter at a group home in Maryland, where Hardy was living at the time, officials continued.…

In December last year, US Marshals arrested 21-year-old Jamari Payne, who has no fixed address, in Pennsylvania in connection to the murder of Silver Spring resident Bacilio Villatoro, authorities announced.

A 59-year-old Lakewood man has been charged with killing his live-in girlfriend before fleeing to Maryland, authorities said.
John Filistovich was charged on Thursday, June 1 with murder in connection with the beating and suffocation of Betty Perry, 60, of Lakewood, they said.

Maryland Man Wanted In Georgia Found In Pennsylvania, Police Say
A 78-year-old fugitive wanted in Georgia was arrested in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania on March 4, 2023, authorities say.
Gerald Lee Spessard, originally from Hagerstown, Maryland was found in "a suspicious vehicle parked at 1415 Orchard Drive," around 12:25 a.m., Chambersburg police said.
Upon investigation, he was found to have an active felony warrant from Georgia.
Spessard was then arrested and held in the Franklin County Jail, awaiting extradition back to Georgia.
He has also been charged with being an alleged fugitive from justice within Pennsylvania.

A Maryland man accused of killing his girlfriend in December 2021 has been arrested in Florida, authorities say.
Kevin Lorenzo Jackson, 44, is accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend, Kimberly Page, 51, during an argument outside of a home in the 5000 block of Leah Court on Dec. 17, 2021. Jackson was located and arrested in Orange County, Florida.
Jackson has been charged with first and second degree murder and related charges and is pending extradition to Maryland.

An armed fugitive who fled Texas to New York City after shooting his girlfriend was captured by Bergen County detectives at the entrance to the lower level of the George Washington Bridge, authorities said.
Dwayne Kevin Sharlow, 55, was swiftly scooped up by Narcotic Task Force members who stopped his rented car at 1:52 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella confirmed Monday.
