Dozens of Party City locations in the DMV region are among the hundreds set to be closed as the company announced it is going out of business. Both Maryland and Virginia were hit hard by the reported closure, which will impact approximately 800 stores across the country. Party City was founded in 1986 and is the largest retailer of party goods in North America. A road-raging man who repeatedly pointed a gun at another driver during a dispute on I-695 in Anne Arundel County has been apprehended and is facing multiple charges, according to Maryland State Police. New details have been released after a 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed and another injured in an incident involving a wandering animal in Prince George's County over the weekend. A beloved teacher has been identified as the 70-year-old woman killed in a Baltimore County house fire on Tuesday afternoon. Catonsville resident Kathleen Benedick died after she was found suffering from cardiac arrest inside a home in the 400 block of Lambeth Road that went up in flames. Senior Living Apartment Fire In Baltimore County Sends One To Hospital
An apartment fire at a senior living apartment in Baltimore County has sent one person to the hospital, authorities say. Firefighters responded to the scene on Clay Lodge Lane in Catonsville where they discovered the fire in a third-floor apartment shortly before 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23, according to Baltimore County Fire officials. The fire was controlled by 9:45 a.m., officials say. The person inside of the apartment was evaluated by medics and transported to a hospital with reported burn injuries.
