46 Pounds Of 'Special K' Worth $1.3M Intercepted At Dulles Airport
Nearly 50 pounds of animal tranquilizer was found in an air cargo shipment from Cameroon at Washington Dulles Airport earlier this month. The 46 pounds of ketamine was found in five of the seven bags of Garri and Water FuFu, of Cameroon, on Oct. 10, US Customs and Border Protection said. The ketamine weighed 20.87 kilograms, or 45 pounds and 15 ounces, and had a street value of about $1.3 million. The shipment was destined to an address in Washington, D.C. A Maryland man will spend years behind bars for allegedly running illegal “ghost guns” and other weaponry from the US to Nigeria with several cohorts, federal officials announced. Fort Washington resident Eric Fru Nji, 42, has been sentenced to 63 months in federal prison, followed by two years of supervised release for his role in a scheme to illegally transport weapons with obliterated serial numbers and smuggling firearms to Africa. Maryland Man Drowns Saving Boy From Rip Current On 21st Birthday
A Maryland man drowned in Myrtle Beach while helping a boy's father rescue him from a rip current Monday, June 13 — his 21st birthday. Silver Spring's Yannick Dbumeni-Ndaleu, of Silver Spring, went missing around 3 p.m., and his body washed up on shore around 12 hours later, KKTV reports citing the county coroner.
