A fast-moving wildfire tore through nearly two dozen acres of mountainside near Burnside Bridge Road in Hagerstown, keeping more than 100 firefighters busy battling the blaze before it was finally contained, officials confirmed. Many schools in Maryland and Virginia will be closed on Wednesday as the region continues to contend with the latest batch of winter weather that brought inches of snow and ice. A Maryland man who crossed state lines to have sex with someone he believed was under the age of 12 in West Virginia will spend more than a decade behind bars, federal authorities announced.
