Prince George’s County police investigators are searching for a driver who struck and killed a 52-year-old woman on Oxon Hill Road Thursday night, then fled the scene without stopping, officials say. Temple Hills resident Sandra Abarca Orellana has been identified as the person killed overnight by a hit-and-run driver. According to police, Abarca Orellana was struck and killed around 9:10 p.m. on Nov. 21 in the 6100 block of Oxon Hill Road. Bus Stop Destroyed After Car Caroms Into It Following Multi-Vehicle Maryland Crash
Several lanes were temporarily blocked in Montgomery County on Wednesday morning after a multi-vehicle crash sent one through a bus stop in Hillandale. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel were called to the area of New Hampshire Avenue and Chalmers Road at around 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 9, where there was a crash involving two vehicles, officials said. Man Killed In Crash That Hospitalized Three In Prince George's County Identified By Police
New details have been released following a fatal crash in Prince George's County over the holiday weekend. Four people were rushed to area hospitals - one of whom died - following a two-vehicle crash on Saturday morning in Temple Hills, police say. On Monday afternoon, the Prince George's County Police Department identified the driver killed as 60-year-old Clinton resident Douglas Brown. Woman, Dog Escape Safely After Crashing Into Prince George's County Pond
A woman was able to safely escape and rescue her dog after crashing into a Prince George's County pond on Wednesday morning. Shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 7, members of the Prince George's County Fire and Rescue Department were called to the 3400 block of Enterprise Road in Bowie to investigate a reported crash that resulted in one vehicle submerged in the water. Silver Spring Man Charged In Connection To Fatal Hit-Run In Takoma Park
A 34-year-old hit-and-run driver who killed a man in Montgomery County last month has been arrested and charged, police say. Takoma Park resident Candido Noe Rojas Rojas, 42, was fatally struck shortly after 1:15 a.m. on June 3 in the 1100 block of University Boulevard. On Friday, authorities announced that Silver Spring resident Efrain Diaz Romero has been arrested after being identified as the driver. Officers found Rojas Rojas in the roadway suffering from head trauma on the night of the crash. He was rushed to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries. …

Buildings Evacuated After Driver Struck Gas Meter Attached To Montgomery County Building
A library and day care in Montgomery County were among the buildings evacuated on Tuesday afternoon when a driver struck a gas meter attached to a building. First responders were called to Davis Library on Democracy Boulevard in Bethesda at around 3:30 p.m. on July 16, where there was a reported gas leak after the crash, officials say.
