These Are The 'Spookiest Streets' In Maryland, Virginia: New Survey Just in time for Halloween, a new survey has been released, and the DMV region is home to some of the country's "spookiest streets."  A survey of 3,000 drivers conducted by Volkswagen determined which area roadways are ready for the holidays, headlined by Route 9 in Sleepy Hollow, a New York destination. Others at the top of the list include Old Ghost Road in Georgia, Superstition Mountains Apache Trail in Arizona, the Haunted Highway in Louisiana and Dead Man's Curve in Cleveland.
