At around 3 a.m. on Jan. 11, members of the Anne Arundel County Police Department were called to investigate a home invasion in the 900 block of Victory Avenue in Brooklyn involving a man who broke in and attacked a woman.

According to officials, a Black man wearing all black clothing entered the residence through a basement window and threatened a woman inside while demanding cash.

When she refused, the man struck her with a handgun, took her phone, and fled the area in an unknown direction.

A canvas of the area did not turn up the suspect, who was still on the run on Thursday afternoon.

The incident remains under investigation.

Anyone with information regarding the home invasion has been asked to contact detectives by calling (410) 222-6135 or the department's tip line at (410) 222-4700.
