Officials Looking For Witnesses Of Soldiers Delight Park Fire
After dozens of families were evacuated for a historic wildfire in Baltimore County, officials are asking for assistance. The Office of the State Fire Marshal and several other agencies are looking for anyone who may have been in the area of the serpentine trail of Soldiers Delight Overlook between 2:30 and 3 p.m., Tuesday, April 4. The historic fire burned over 700 acres around the Soldiers Delight Natural Environment area on Tuesday and Wednesday. Over 700 acres have burned down after a massive wildfire through Owings Mills, authorities confirmed. The fire started around 3 p.m., Tuesday, April 4 in the Soldier's Delight Natural Environment Area near the 5100 block of Deer Park Road. Eight alarms were called in the fire, making it Baltimore County's largest fire event since the 1970s, according to Baltimore County Government officials.
