Virginia National Guard Deployed To Help With Snow Storm Several days after a snowstorm clogged I-95 in Virginia and left thousands of commuters stranded for hours, the state's national guard has been activated to help with a second snowstorm. The Virginia National Guard has staged approximately 40 Soldiers and Airmen for severe winter weather response duty on Jan. 6.
