Maryland Couple Killed In NJ Crash
An elderly pair from Maryland was killed in a crash Tuesday evening, June 13 in Highland Park, authorities said. A Mercedes driven by Abeer Viriani, 34, of Iselin, struck a Subaru occupied by Peter Palmer, 75, of Easton, MD, and Carol Paul, 77, of Easton, MD, around 5:30 p.m. at Route 27 and North 10 Street, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. Case Of Boy's Ocean City Hit-Run Death Cracked
Ten months after a 14-year-old boy was struck and killed in Ocean City, a defendant has been charged. Tyler Mailloux, 22, of Berlin, is facing more than a dozen charges out of Worcester County in the July 2022 hit-and-run death of Gavin Knupp on Grays Corner Road while walking to his sister's car. Gavin was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver, later identified as Mailloux, did not stop and also did not report the incident, authorities said. More than a year after a fatal four-car crash in Maryland, state police announced that they have arrested a suspect who was allegedly impaired when he crashed head-on with another driver last summer. A central Pennsylvania driver was apparently making his car "catch air" before a crash that killed his 18-year-old back-seat passenger, PennLive reports. Isaac V. Shoff, 20, of Wrightsville, was going as fast as 90 mph in a 40 mph zone and flying over hills before he lost control and crashed, killing Hannah Tome, the outlet says citing court papers and York County officials.
