A self-proclaimed "storm chaser" drew the ire of some officials in Maryland after criticizing the state for declaring a State of Emergency in advance of Tropical Storm Ophelia moving up the East Coast. Storm Causes Problems For Crews Contending With Multi-Million Dollar Maryland House Fire
Fire crews had to deal with difficult conditions over the weekend as they battled a blaze that broke out in a waterfront home in Maryland. Shortly before 10 p.m. on Saturday night, first responders from multiple agencies in and around Talbot County were called to the 24500 block of Post Road in St. Michaels, where a two-alarm fire broke out and ripped through a two-story home and garage. More than 1,500 are still reporting outages in Maryland after storms swept through the region and wreaked havoc overnight.
