The region is bracing for severe storms that are expected to smash through the region on Monday night.
A Tornado Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for parts of Washington, DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia through 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 7, as the area is expected to be battered by thunderstorms.
Tornadoes are "likely," according to officials, with storms bringing ping pong-sized hail, and wind gusts approaching 75 mph.

More than 20,000 Maryland customers are still in the dark after storms rolled through the region, bringing whipping winds, toppling trees, and downing power lines and wires overnight.
Baltimore Gas and Electric crews worked through the night to make repairs and restore power to thousands, though as of 11:15 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, the utility company was still reporting 901 outages that were impacting 20,548 of its 1,323,723 Maryland customers.

More than 40,000 Baltimore Gas and Electric customers remained without power 24 hours after storms rolled through the region, toppling trees and downing power lines across Maryland.
As of 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, the utility company was still reporting nearly 2,000 outages that left 41,254 of its 1.32 million customers in the dark as crews worked around the clock to make repairs.
