Off-Duty DC Cop Critically Injured By Driver In Maryland Parking Lot (

An off-duty Metropolitan Police officer was critically injured after being struck by a car in a Maryland parking lot, officials said. At approximately 10:40 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, a driver struck the officer in the 10500 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Highway in Bowie, according to a spokesperson from the Prince George’s County Police Department. The incident happened in the parking lot near the Shoppers grocery store. Autistic Man Jumped At Work In Catonsville May Be Case Of Mistaken ID: Report
A Maryland grocery store worker with autism was recovering after being jumped at work on Sunday, Feb. 6, according to a report from WBAL-TV. Corey Roberson, 38, was punched and kicked in the face by two men at the Shoppers store in Catonsville where he had been working for the past 16 years, the outlet says. This was the third time Roberson was attacked at the workplace where he is known as a "gentle giant," his parents told the news outlet. Maryland Retailer Sells Winning $50K Lottery Ticket
A lottery ticket good for $50,000 was sold at a Maryland retailer, officials said Monday. The winning numbers for the Saturday, Jan. 8 Bonus Match 5 drawing were 5, 6, 10, 29 and 36. The Bonus Ball was 24, lottery officials said. The prizewinning ticket was sold at the Shoppers store located at 10501 Martin Luther King Jr. Hwy. in Bowie, Prince George’s County. The winner had 182 days to claim their prize, officials said. Bonus Match 5 drawings are held seven days a week.
