Baltimore SWAT Officer Killed In I-695 Crash Anthony Ward, a member of the Baltimore Police Department's SWAT team, was killed in a car accident. The department announced Ward's death late Saturday, April 20.  While police did not provide further details, Maryland State Police said Ward, 36, of Rosedale, rear-ended a Ford tow truck on the inner loop of I-695 around 4:30 p.m. just before the Jones Falls Expressway. Dead Man Found In Vehicle Following Rosedale Car Fire Near Railroad Tracks A man was found dead in a vehicle that had caught fire just off of a set of railroad tracks in Rosedale, authorities say. Officials arrived to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames after a report of smoke in the 8500 block of Contractors Road, near the CSX Railroad Crossing at 7:50 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, according to Baltimore County police. Crews extinguished the fire and found the victim in the driver's seat of the vehicle. The investigation of the circumstances surrounding the fire is ongoing.

Baltimore County Man, 50, Killed In Rosedale Motorcycle Crash A 50-year-old man from Baltimore County has died after he colliding with a truck while riding his motorcycle, authorities said.  Mark Conklin was going north on Lillian Holt Drive in Rosedale when he collided with a Dodge Ram going the opposite direction around 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, April 17, Baltimore County Police said. Police said Conklin smashed into the vehicle as the truck was making a left turn in front of Conklin towards Trump Mill Road. Conklin was taken to a local hospital where he later died.  The investigation is ongoing.
