Armed Robbers Targeting Anne Arundel Gas Station At Large, Police Say
A pair of armed robbers are at large after targeting an Anne Arundel gas station early on Wednesday, Jan. 3, according to police. Anne Arundel County Police responded to the Citgo on Ridge Road in Hanover to investigate reports of a robbery around 5:30 a.m., the department said. Officers learned that the robbers had wielded a handgun to the clerk and demanded that he open the register. The clerk complied, and the robbers took an unknown amount of cash before fleeing on foot. Hate Crime Under Investigation At Maryland Cemetery Serving African American Community: PD
A cemetery that largely serves the African American community in Anne Arundel County was the subject of a possible hate crime over the weekend, police say. Investigators were called to the Saints Rest Cemetery on Ridge Road in Hanover on Saturday afternoon to investigate after a sign was set on fire, causing damage.
