Pregnant Woman Assaulted In Prince George's County; Suspect At Large, Police Say
Know anything? An investigation has been launched into an assault on a pregnant woman that occurred in Prince George’s County on Sunday evening, Jan. 28. The victim was assaulted by a woman (see above) near the 6400 block of America Blvd. around 7:20 p.m., according to the Hyattsville Police Department. The suspect fled toward America Boulevard in a maroon Mercedes SUV with an unknown registration, police said. Judge Rejects Plea Offer For Gervonta Davis After Hit And Run Left Pregnant Woman Injured
A Baltimore boxing champion's plea offer to avoid jail time for a 2020 hit-and-run has been rejected by a judge and will now go to trial, reports the Baltimore Banner. On Nov. 5, 2020, Gervonta Davis, 27, ran a red light on southbound Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and struck a Toyota Corolla driven by a pregnant woman shortly before 2 a.m., leaving her stranded as she pleaded for help, the outlet continues. Police ID Man And Pregnant Woman Killed In Baltimore Shooting
Authorities have identified the victims killed in the drive-by shooting that killed a man, and a pregnant woman after an emergency delivery in Baltimore last week. Angel Morgan Heather Smith, 38, and Yahmell Montague, 37, were rushed to the hospital after being shot around 8:15 p.m. on the 300 block of E. 23rd Street, police said. Montague was immediately pronounced dead. An emergency delivery was performed on Smith, who was pronounced deceased a short time later. The newborn was reported to be in critical condition.
